Hi everyone,

Was sooooooo busy in the past couple of months that i didnt even have time to blog. Apologies. As you know, so many things have happened since I last did.
1) Mas Selamat got recaptured...again
2) H1N1 has hit Singapore!!
3) Nick Tan got married (Congrats)
4) Sun is on 8 days magazine!

etc etc etc

Personally, I just came back from Batam 2 day trip. Careen and I throughly enjoyed our time over there. Tea tree spa was really good! Holiday Inn has fantastic service. Strongly recommend to those who need to destress. Caught Terminator Salvation (Batam cinema turns on their volume to the max!) This week going to Sofitel with the Chinese Church. Hopefully will be great too!

Hi everyone.

Sorry, the past few weeks were real busy. Closed a deal after doing lots of work. I believe that the real estate industry is not easy, but if you are willing to work hard, you can make a decent living. It's all about providing excellent service and working hard. Anyone wants to find work? I need to hire an administrator.
Many of you would know by now that Jordan is going to school. We gave him one of the best places for early childhood education. Julia Gabriel. (Learn from Pst Zhuang). They are famous for speech and drama. So he's attending school every wed and fri. Hopefully he gets more sociable and more confident. (See facebook video for his first day). This coming wed, they are learning about the color blue!
Also, have been thinking much about our Dreamfactory songs. We currently have 3 demos done. But we hope to record them professionally and also do a few more. Looking at releasing them on the web. So all the DF fans, stay tuned....

Hey guys, sorry for the long wait. Finally get to update wedding part 2. It was a nice dinner. Amy Khor and John Chen were there. Andre's parents have friends in high places. :)

Here you see Careen in a wonderful black dress and her goth shoes I bought for her. (Croc leather style!)

Also, she was hosting for the dinner. She did a splendid job!

ROYAL GOTH

Hi guys! I'm shifting house tomorrow...real tiring. Was cleaning up the new place the whole day today.

I think the theme for my house is ROYAL GOTH. It's not completed yet cos the furniture is not completely in. The stuff from I wanna go home is only coming on the 16th Mar, so got to wait a bit, then also I have decided how to decorate the walls, like the paintings etc. But what I really like for this house is 1) the staircase, looks quite european, roman, etc 2) the lights, palace feel, 3) the balcony, windy and nice.

Hope to do a house warming end of march. Still deciding. :)

Cousin Wedding Part 1

Today is Meiyi and Andre's wedding! Careen's cousin meiyi.

We took Jordan to the family house and spent some time fellowshipping. Cheryl was there too with her baby girl.

The most interesting thing for me (other than having to feed Jordan and make a mess out of the whole place) was to see the decapitation of the suckling pig!

Later going to Shangrila for the dinner. Heard that Amy Khor will be there too. Careen is singing Zhi Shao Hai You Ni. Yeah! Write later...

Reno Updates

Today was tiring! Waiting for delivery of some stuff. But today was also very fun and interesting because I bought my favourite Goth chair from I WANNA GO HOME (thanks xinyan for the tip on the sale!). Chioh right? Sooooooooo vampire looking! This is gonna go in my living room. Love it so much. 30% off somemore. That brings my total items from this shop to 4!

The entire place should be completely ready by Wednesday. Noemie suppose to handover that day. I decided to change my window grills to white. So that can match my black velvet curtains! Mom came to see the place today. Freaked her out! Haha. But she can't do anything. It's MY HOUSE. I can do whatever I like to it. Including BLACK CURTAINS! Yea yea yea yea! Jin should be coming to take measurements tue or wed.

Anyway, I think I'll be moving into property. I've always liked this job and enjoy serving the people in getting their dream home. Do contact me if you want me to serve you!

Keep writing your comments. Careen and I will be going for S2 this week. Going for some "Connect 2" facilitators' training tomorrow! Exciting. Then on Sunday it's a packed packed day cos Meiyi (Careen's cousin) wedding at Shangrila. Careen will be singing her 'na shou hao ge' from Sandy Lam (the song on my blog). Yeah!

Anyway, today was tiring. Ran around Singapore trying to find dining chair. Anyone know where to find crocodile/goth looking high back dining chair? Do drop me a line if u know.

Reno updates

Today we went to get a dining table from I WANNA GO HOME! Also got a nice huge mirror and two bedside lamps. So happy. I've always liked the furniture from that place. Classy and cool. So I managed to get a pure white gloss dining table with super nice legs. I'm gonna get crocodile leather chairs to go with it. Gonna look real Goth!

Went to inspect the house late. We saw the lighting being done halfway. The storeroom door had a doorknob! Wasn't what we wanted. Told the ID right away.

By tomorrow or Fri, the house will be looking great. Fri afternooon will see most of the furniture in, except the dining table and mirror and bedside lamps. On Saturday, Careen and I are going for C2 facilitator's training. Yeah, get to learn together with her. And then going S2. On Sun got cousin wedding. So it's a packed weekend.

Stuff yet to buy -
TV console, book shelf, jordan's toy shelf, bedroom sideboard and mirrors, bedside tables. Mostly gonna be from Ikea (save cost). But definitely gonna be stylish.

Everyone can buy nice furniture, but not everyone knows how to be stylish in what they buy! haha!

The sermon today was inspiring! Dr Dyson is really a powerful man of God. I wish I knew all the things he spoke of today much earlier. treat your wife like a queen my brothers!

Got to meet Peter and some others today. Missed them terribly. MJ was very kind to me. JY was exceptional. Jeremy and Leo were also very nice. Told me he wants to go golf with me next week or something! Talked to Fuming about property as well.

I saw another recruitment ad today. For National Arts Council, manager for festival programs. Thought it might suit me well. Since I've got performance experience and all.

Earlier on, I went to inspect the new house. Was kind of unhappy about the sloppy work on the false celings and L Boxes. Told Noemie about it. She blasted the sub contractor. Wah, looks like Simon got a dragon lady to do my house. Ain't complaining about that.

Emotions

God gave us a whole range of emotions. Like joy, anger, fear, etc. I've been dealing with the dark side of these emotions lately. It's amazing how fierce these emotions can be. I realise that emotions like anger and fear and bitterness can really get to you if you are not careful. The can dig into you and stay there for a long long time. The solution is always the same, stay in the presence of God and godly fellowship. Meditate on God's word and listen to Praise and Worship. Without these markers in life, you will go into a downward spiral...

Thank God for His grace to keep going on...

Please pray for Jordan. He isn't feeling too well these couple of days. Just got a vaccine last wed. So a little feverish. Going service now.

Butterfly Lovers

I just finished watching the new version acted by charlene choi and wu chun. I don't look like him by the way. Haha. I don't think it was as touching as the original version by wu qilong. That one was very good. This one corny. Tried to copy some of the original, but didn't quite work. Not tragic enough. The violin concerto didnt come out till the end. Also, the music compositions were bad, quite cheapo. So, for me, I rate it 1 star out of 5. :P

I wonder what pastor Tan will preach tomorrow? Must be a solid sermon. Ciao.

Kind of strange having to write one after 4 years. But well, guess picking up the pieces is like that. Starts with the family and job. New house is going to be ready in a week. I just bought some electronics. Had a great deal... Mom blessed us with a fridge. :)

New beginnings

I haven't been blogging for real real long. Just to update you from my blog what's happening. As some of you know, I've left church staff due to some unforeseen circumstances. Life is quite messy now. Hard going. Many emotional issues to deal with. Looking for new job. Considering property or pilot!

But do keep praying for me, I know God will come through eventually.

The NEW HYUNDAI AVANTE

A new milestone in my life. I've recently went ahead in faith to book the new Hyundai Avante. It will be coming in Oct week 3!!!
I'm simply so excited about this new vehicle.
This is what Singaporeans do to purchase more time. Getting a vehicle.
Imagine the freedom in travel Careen and I will enjoy....late night suppers far away from the boring coffeshop downstairs, etc.
Oh well, having said that, there are of course tradeoffs....for those suppers, we can probably only afford porridge and salted fish.
The kind of price we pay for freedom...

Man...has been 6 years since I last went for mission trip. Mongolia was wonderful. That was in 2000. I'm going Taiwan from 10-17 July for the most awesome Youth Conference in the history of that beautiful nation! EMERGE EMERGE EMERGE... Looking forward to revival in TAIWAN.
